Naperville’s newest community gathering place is preparing to open its doors.

The relocated NaperBridge Teen Center and the Alive Center have a shared 5,000-square-foot home at Fifth Avenue and Mill Street that was recently renovated to make a place where both adults and teens can play, learn, create and “connect with what makes them come alive,” organizers said in a news release. Separate grand opening events for the teen center, formerly located in downtown Naperville, and the adult portion of Alive are scheduled in the coming weeks.
A merger establishing the Alive Center as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization was finalized with the state on March 11, clearing the way for the new facility. The new partnership created a new board of directors, the members of which include Sue Erdman, Debbie Fox, John Freiburger, Jeff Haake, Kerry Haake, Austin Hansen, Jeff Havel, Kandice Henning, Paul Hinterlong, Josie Miller, Dean Reschke and Sam Smith.
