Andrew Bradshaw

Andrew Bradshaw is an intentional, passionate, and driven high school student. His passions include music, sports, and the world of business. He plays the clarinet in Metea Valley’s top band, Wind Ensemble and is a varsity baseball player as well. In his free time, Andrew loves goofing around with family and friends, podcasting, and developing his understanding of the business world. Additionally, as a career, he hopes to pursue Business Leadership. As the Co President of the Teen Advisory Board, he is very excited to continue to make a difference in the community with the Alive Center while also leading an incredible group of board members.

Kishor Moorthy

Learn More About Kishor

Kishor Moorthy is a junior at Metea Valley High School. He enjoys playing baseball, playing the violin in orchestra, and being involved in various school clubs. For example, Kishor has started the Metea TED Ed Club and is a part of the Principal’s Advisory Board. He cares about equity and inclusion and looks for opportunities to be involved. For the last four years, Kishor has tutored over 60 students in math through his Mathsitters initiative. He volunteers in the community, loves to watch sports and play basketball with friends. Through his involvement in the Teen Advisory Board, Kishor hopes to support the Alive Center’s mission to help teens reach their full potential. He is thankful to have the support of the Alive Center in launching his new project: The BTW Podcast.

Vinay Agrawal

Class of 2021, Metea Valley High School

Learn More About Vinay

Vinay is a senior at Metea Valley High School. At school, he enjoys playing on the Ultimate Frisbee team, participating in Science Olympiad, helping lead TED-Ed club, and being involved in several service-oriented clubs, such as Key Club and Tri-M Music Honor Society. In addition to his involvement in school, he loves to regularly volunteer at the Morton Arboretum and learn new skills at home. In his interests, he has a deep liking for STEM and STEM-related learning, specifically physics and math. As a result, he also enjoys reading and watching STEM-related books and videos. In his free time, Vinay enjoys being outdoors, playing sports with his friends at the park, and being a loyal Bears/Bulls fan. He is excited to serve alongside other teen members and hopes to collaboratively spread a passion for STEM, learning, and serving the community at ALIVE.

Aliza Akhter

Aliza is a sophomore at Metea Valley High School. She is a diver and plays lacrosse. Aliza enjoys being involved in school activities, such as DECA, DMMV, and National English Honors Society. She loves engaging in school spirit activities, like supporting sports teams and participating in spirit week themes. She always tries to find a way to be inclusive for everyone and enjoys finding new ways to help her community. In her free time, Aliza likes to go on runs with her team or go shopping. Her favorite pastime, however, is volunteering because it allows her to help the people who need it most. She has a passion for business and her dream is to open her own interior design business. This is her first year as a member of TAB and can’t wait to meet & connect with new people!

Patrick Baldinger

Class of 2024, Jefferson Junior High School

Patrick Baldinger is a 14-year-old student at Jefferson Junior High School. He will graduate from Naperville North High School in the year 2024. He likes running, ping-pong, building things, golf, video-games, and more! He is also learning to code Python through an online class. He has built a lot of model rockets and plans to build more. Recently he built a track in his basement using different contraptions around his house. He believes that he can greatly help out with the STEM program at Alive. He can contribute his building knowledge, creative thinking, he can help with 3D-printing, and he can help advertise events. He is very excited to be a part of the Alive Center Teen Board and is greatly looking forward to it. He has gone to the Alive Center in the past and loves what they do. He likes how it is a great place for teens to hang out for free and help other teens. He is very thankful for being chosen and hopes to make a difference in our community.

Anisha Bandhakavi

Class of 2021, Metea Valley High School

Anisha Bandhakavi is a rising senior at Metea Valley High School. Anisha loves public speaking and debate, and is the President of her school’s JSA chapter and a former JSA Midwest Cabinet member, where she planned and wrote relevant blurbs for several regional debate conventions. She is involved in many business related activities like DECA, and won 1st place pitching her start up idea at her previous entrepreneurship internship at iStart Valley. In her free time, Anisha helps design social media and email campaigns, hosts podcasts, and strategizes awareness initiatives for nonprofit organizations. This is her first year on the Teen Advisory Board, and she is excited to further share her passion for business, social awareness and justice, and civic engagement through her projects at the Alive Center!

Sarina Betjemann

Class of 2022, Naperville North High School

Sarina Betjemann is a sophomore at Naperville North High School. She on the swim and water polo team for North and participates in the club Future Problem Solvers.  In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing with her dogs, and travelling to new places.  She is excited for her second year at the alive center student board and can’t wait for the new experiences it will bring!

Brianna Bukowski

Class of 2021, Naperville Central HS

Brianna is a junior at Naperville Central. She has started the Girls Engineering Empowerment Sessions, Girls STEM Camp, Rocket Science Club, and founded the Girls Who Code Club. At school, she is involved in activities like Speech Team, Student Advisory Council, School Ambassadors, Spanish Honors Society, and Cross Country. Outside of school, she is a WorldChicago Youth Diplomat and plays classical guitar. Her hobbies include photography and filmmaking.

Ria Chugh

Ria Chugh is a Sophomore at Naperville North High School. She loves being part of many sports and extracurricular activities including competitive swimming and water polo at North. She loves being involved in school clubs such as Future Problem Solvers. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, travelling to new places, and meeting new people. Ria enjoys being a member of the student advisory board at the Alive Center and looks forward to engage with others to make a difference in the community.

 

Reyah Doshi

Reyah is a sophomore at Naperville North who loves running cross country and track and being a part of clubs like Mock Trial and Youth and Government. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family. She can usually be found reading and/or writing and listens to music constantly. Reyah is really interested in public service and working towards a more accepting and equitable future, and is looking forward to working with the Alive Center as a means of helping our community grow.

Kayla Garcia

Kayla Garcia is a freshman at Naperville North High School. She is on North’s swim team and is a member of North’s volunteer club, Interact. In her free time, she loves reading YA Romance novels and is often found traveling to visit her favorite authors at conventions. When she isn’t reading, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. During the summer, she volunteers with Nichols Library and the Dupage Children’s Museum. She is very excited to work with the Alive Teen Advisory Board and is looking forward to her first year with them.

Sameer Jain

Sameer is a rising senior at Neuqua Valley High School. At school, he is involved with Youth and Government, Interact service club, and the band program. His passions for advocacy and community service extend to his out-of-school obligations as well, as he enjoys frequently working with his local elected officials on policy and activism, as well as volunteering regularly in various roles and capacities. Sameer is excited for another year of serving his community by connecting and working with his peers to discover their passions here at Alive.

Jordan King

Class of 2022, Naperville North High School

In the Naperville North community, Jordan is involved in many curriculars such as BSLA (Black Student Leadership Association), Interact Club, The Education Rocks Organization, and Orchestra Council. Outside of school Jordan sings in her church choir, is apart of the NAACP Youth Council of Dupage County, and is a dedicated Girl Scout. In her free time she loves to roller skate, play golf and badminton, and also spend time with her younger sister. This will be her first year serving on the TAB and she couldn’t be more excited to expand her knowledge and skills and add a little spice to the team as well!

Victoria Kostecki

Victoria is currently a Sophmore at Naperville North High School, but will be going into her Junior year. In school, she is involved in Orchesis, and plans to be part of French National Honors Society, and Honors Society. In her free time she enjoys giving back and volunteering and places like Loaves and Fishes, Feed My Starving Children, and setting up fundraisers. She also enjoys traveling to new places, meeting new people, and spending time with her family. This her first year on the Teen Advisory Board and she is really excited to be able to make a difference in her community!

Poorna Kumar

Poorna Kumar is a junior at Metea Valley High School. At school, she is involved in various musical groups, student government, and is a part of the Peer Partners adaptive P.E. program. Poorna also serves on the executive board of her school’s chapter of the Tri-M Music Honor Society, and is a member of the Rho Kappa National Social Studies Honor Society. Outside of school, Poorna is a member of the Youth Advisory Committee of 360 Youth Services, volunteers her time to tutoring young children, and plays in the Youth Jazz Ensemble of DuPage. In her free time, she practices her passion of playing South Indian classical violin and enjoys hanging out with friends. Poorna is very excited to get involved with the Alive Center and be a part of TAB!

Connor Lee

Connor is a sophomore at Naperville North High School. He loves participating in clubs and activities such as Business Professionals of America and Future Problem Solvers. He’s currently on the Boys Varsity Tennis team at North. Some of Connor’s passions include Music, Writing, and statistics. In his free time, Connor likes to hang out with his friends and family, and exercise. He is extremely excited for his first year on being the TAB and can’t wait to participate!

Emily Liu

Class of 2021, Neuqua Valley High School

Learn More About Emily

Emily is a junior at Neuqua Valley High School. She is passionate about literature, film, art, history, philosophy, and linguistics. Some of her favorite writers and poets include Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Salman Rushdie, Mikhail Bulgakov, Fernando Pessoa, and Jenny Xie. At school, she is involved in the Speech Team, SkillsUSA, Rho Kappa Social Studies Honors Society, and the MAWI Leadership Initiative, among others. She also volunteers at Good Samaritan Hospital and serves as an editor for Polyphony Lit. In her free time, she enjoys writing poetry and painting. Her work has been nationally and internationally recognized by the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, the Hippocrates Young Poets Prize, and the PTA Reflections Program, and some of her latest poems are forthcoming in Sooth Swarm Journal and Eunoia Review. She is looking forward to empowering youth voices in her community through Alive. 

Isabelle Marcus

Izzy is a junior at Naperville North High School, involved in orchesis, student government, and the dance team. She is also a Link Crew and Adaptive PE leader. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering at Dupage PADS and participating in retreats at her church. She is very excited to participate in her second year on the Alive Teen Advisory Board!

 

Olivia Prudhomme

Olivia is a junior at Naperville North High School. At Naperville North, Olivia is on the golf team and she is a Bridging the Gap mentor for minority middle school students. She is also part of the Black Student Leadership Association and Link Crew. On the weekends, Olivia is involved with Golf for Christ, an organization that exposes minority kids to the game of golf. In her free time, she loves to find great food trucks and restaurants to eat at. This will be Olivia’s second year on the TAB and she loves to get involved and contribute to the Alive community!

Zayna Quraishi

Class of 2022, Naperville North High School

Learn More About Zayna

Zayna is a sophomore at Naperville North High School. She is an Academic Peer Tutor, helping her fellow students in Algebra, English, and French. She is also involved with Junior State of America and the Muslim Student Association. Zayna enjoys writing, traveling, playing field hockey, listening to music, and volunteering for charitable causes. During the summer and on weekends, she mentors elementary aged girls in a faith based youth program. Zayna first learned about the Alive Center when she participated in a Girls Who Code summer camp and was impressed by the opportunities available for teens to help out in the community. Now, Zayna is eager to contribute her own talents and interests to be part of that teen initiative at the Alive Center as a member of the Teen Advisory Board.

Rishi Raghavapudi

Class of 2021, Metea Valley High School

Rishi is a junior at Metea Valley High School. Some of his interests include trivia, tennis, and tutoring, among other things. He participates in many school clubs such as Scholastic Bowl and DECA, and founded the History Club at Metea Valley. Rishi is active in the community through leading volunteer tutoring organizations such as the Merry Tutor and Students Count. Rishi has a passion for business as well as technology, and he has been working with the Alive Center on his podcast “Business Demystified.” He is excited to work with the Alive Center in giving back to the community and is thankful for the opportunity.

Warren Small

Warren is 17 and a Junior in High School. He loves spending time with friends and family, listening to music, and going to concerts. Soon after entering High School he became interested in Politics and law. He has a huge heart for those who are underrepresented. He one day hopes to attend Law School And become a civil rights attorney.

Adi Srinivasan

Adi is a sophomore at Naperville North High School. I am part of the basketball team at North and I’m active in clubs like speech and DECA. I’m also involved in extracurricular activities like playing the violin and programming. In my free time, I like playing with my dog, playing basketball, and hanging out with my friends. I’m on the STEM board at the Alive Center and look forward to being more involved in clubs and events at the Alive Center in the future.

At Metea Valley, Kylie participates in Key Club, Best Buddies and the Animal Rescue Club. She loves to meet new people and learn new things. Outside of school, she enjoys volunteering, traveling and spending time with family and friends. Kylie is passionate about health and enjoys helping others. She is interested in psychology and how people can continue to better themselves. At Alive, she hopes to help empower teens like herself while making an impact on the community. She is super excited to be a member of the Teen Advisory Board and is looking forward to making a difference!

Mridini Thippisetty

Mridini is a current junior at Metea Valley High School. She is involved in many extracurriculars including Youth and Government, Business Professionals of America, Rho Kappa, Epsilon Lambda Alpha National, Mu Alpha Theta, and more. Outside of school, Mridini is also involved in volunteering through the Merry Tutors of Aurora and the Girls Who Code foundation. Additionally, she is a graphic design intern for the Obama Legacy Initiative. She works at Eye Level Learning Center, where she is a teaching assistant. Some of Mridini’s hobbies include playing basketball, coding, and reading. As a part of the Alive Center’s Teen Advisory Board, Mridini hopes to make an impact in the community and provide equal opportunities to all.

Anusha Trivedi

Anusha is a junior at Neuqua Valley High School. She is the Vice President of her school’s UNICEF club and also is the city lead for a nonprofit named USK4W. She is also a member of her school’s Model United Nations, Youth and Government, Business Professionals of America, and Social Studies Honors Society clubs. Anusha is also currently one year away from earning her bachelor’s degree in Hindustani classical singing from a university in India. In her free time, Anusha enjoys dancing, reading, and spending time with her friends and family. Anusha is very excited to be a member of the student advisory board and hopes to make a difference at the Alive center!

Rohan Vanjani

Rohan Vanjani is a senior at Metea Valley who is passionate about business and STEM. At school Rohan is heavily involved in the science community. He assists a researcher at Argonne National Lab and is on the Science Olympiad team. Aside from school, Rohan loves to be involved in his community. On the weekdays, he works as senior web developer for SiteInnovator, a website development and digital marketing company. While on weekends, he serves as fundraising coordinator for Dheean Pukardian, a not-for-profit dedicated towards giving needy women in India access to education. In addition, Rohan loves to speak out; he and his friends run a blog regarding the ethical, political, and economic challenges that have arisen due to advancements in science and technology. Besides being a nerd, Rohan loves to watch basketball, listen to music, and play ping pong with his friends. Not only did he join Teen Advisory Board to be amongst an awesome team of students, but to play a bigger role in his community overall.

Helen Zhao

Helen is a junior at Neuqua Valley High School. At Neuqua, she is a part of Student Council CEO, science olympiad, and math team. She also loves being on the court, and has been a varsity badminton player since her freshman year. Outside of school, Helen enjoys art, reading, and listening to music. She hopes to make a difference in her community and is looking forward to a great year with the Alive center.

Kaitlyn Zhou

Kaitlyn is a very involved member of the Naperville community. At her school, she serves as the editor-in-chief of The Essence as well as a captain of Science Olympiad. In her free time, she likes to draw, play the violin, and further find ways to better the community. Kaitlyn is looking forward to becoming a member of Alive’s TAB, and she hopes that she will be able to benefit the Naperville community more.
