Aliza Akhter

Aliza is a sophomore at Metea Valley High School. She is a diver and plays lacrosse. Aliza enjoys being involved in school activities, such as DECA, DMMV, and National English Honors Society. She loves engaging in school spirit activities, like supporting sports teams and participating in spirit week themes. She always tries to find a way to be inclusive for everyone and enjoys finding new ways to help her community. In her free time, Aliza likes to go on runs with her team or go shopping. Her favorite pastime, however, is volunteering because it allows her to help the people who need it most. She has a passion for business and her dream is to open her own interior design business. This is her first year as a member of TAB and can’t wait to meet & connect with new people!

Adi Srinivasan

Adi is a senior at Naperville North High School. He enjoys participating in school activities like Speech Team, DECA, and Spanish National Honors Society. Outside of school he enjoys playing the violin, the guitar, and working with computers. This is his fourth year as a member of the TAB, spending the first three years as part of the STEM committee. He has led coding clubs and camps at the Alive Center and is excited to continue leading programs. He is looking forward to seeing what this talented and hard-working TAB will produce this upcoming year!

Grey Bauer

Grey is 14 years old, and a freshman in High School! Some of their hobbies include music, art, photography, writing, and baking! In the future they hope to become a teacher. They’re also very excited to be on tab. 

Saaya Patel

Saaya is a sophomore at Neuqua Valley High School. She is very passionate about helping others. As a high school student, Saaya loves to help inspire younger students to engage in STEM fields. She has the opportunity to prepare for and instruct a STEM class for middle school students; Saaya’s responsibilities consist of weekly lesson preparation as well as biweekly lessons. She, too, participate in her school’s robotics team where she can collaborate with my teammates both in-person and over Zoom to develop ideas and progress with their projects. Saaya has an interest in athletics. Sports have taught her several values: leadership, accountability, respect, perseverance, and discipline. She loves to fundraise and raise awareness for the underrepresented. She is, also the vice president and past secretary of Naperville’s Juniorettes. The Naperville Juniorettes are comprised of a group of ambitious young women who help their community by volunteering, fundraising, and raising awareness. Saaya is extremely excited to work on Alive’s Teen Advisory Board to achieve the goals of inclusivity and creativity.

Nyssa Aftab

Nyssa is currently a sophomore at Neuqua Valley High School, where she is involved with Youth and Government, Girls Who Code, Mu Alpha Theta, and more. She’s deeply passionate about STEM and is excited to share her love with the community! Outside of class, she can be found tutoring both children and peers in various subjects or phonebanking for local political campaigns. When she’s not hanging out with friends or family, she likes to spend her free time painting portraits, reading novels, and discovering new music. She is looking forward to connecting with her community during her first year on TAB!

Michelle Azie

Michelle Azie is a sophomore at Metea Valley Highschool. She loves to breathe vitality into poetry, creative writing, photography, and music composition. She is currently the 3rd place Western Suburban Poetry slam winner, the 1st place Kappa Alpha Sorority Poetry Slam champion, and her photography had reached the state level of the PTSA Reflections program. Because of her love for STEM, she is also a co-manager for an upcoming event series to teach, challenge, and invite all minds to the world of STEM. She is a proud member of her church youth group, NEHS, SNHS, Girls Who Code, History Team, Girls in Engineering, Mathematics, and Science, and Citizens of Metea. Most of all, you can’t meet her without finding a smile on your face.

Abby Baldinger

Abby Baldinger is a freshman at Naperville North High School and will graduate in the year 2025. She is 14 years old and in her free time likes to golf, play softball, sew, build model rockets, read, bake, hang out with her friends and more! Abby plans to try out for the girls golf team at Naperville North High School and loves animals. She has a puppy named Yuri and hopes to become a vet. Also, she enjoys helping others and is excited to continue to help others while being part of the Teen Advisory Board. Abby is very thankful for being chosen to be part of the Teen Advisory Board and is looking forward to being a part of it. This will be her first year as part of the Teen Advisory Board and she can’t wait to make a difference in her community.

Patrick Baldinger

Patrick Baldinger is a sophomore at Naperville North High School. He will graduate in the year 2024. He likes running, ping-pong, coding, building things, golf, video-games, and more! He is also learning to code Java through an online class as he plans to pursue a career in programming. He is in Cross Country and Track. He has built a lot of model rockets and plans to build more. He believes that he can greatly help out with the STEM program at Alive. He can contribute his building and programming knowledge, creative thinking, he can help with 3D-printing, and he can help advertise events. He is very excited that he is a part of the Alive Center Teen Board for a second year and is greatly looking forward to it. He has gone to the Alive Center in the past and loves what they do. He likes how it is a great place for teens to hang out for free and help other teens. He is very thankful for being on this board and hopes to make a difference in our community.

Sarina Betjemann

Sarina Betjemann is a senior at Naperville North High School. She is on the swim team for North and participates in the club Future Problem Solvers. In her free time she enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing with her dogs, and traveling to new places. She is excited for her fourth year on the Alive Center student board and can’t wait for the new experiences it will bring!

Ria Chugh is a Senior at Naperville North High School. She loves being part of many sports and extracurricular activities including competitive swimming and water polo at North. She loves being involved in school clubs such as Future Problem Solvers. At Alive, she is the STEM committee lead and started a crime-solving camp with her co-lead. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling to new places, and meeting new people. Ria enjoys being a member of the student advisory board at the Alive Center and looks forward to engage with others to make a difference in the community.

Aashi Dharia

Aashi is a starting freshman at Naperville Central High School. She loves running cross country and track, swimming, and biking. Aashi competes in mini triathlons and plays in her school orchestra. She will graduate from her school of dance in the next year and loves art. Outside of her activities, Aashi loves helping others. She volunteers at the Naperville Public Library and Feed My Starving Children. She also participates in the Peers program through her school and in her student council to plan drives and other donation events. Aashi has won the Golden Eagle Award through her junior high. She also has a passion for travelling and meeting new people. She is super excited to be a part of the teen advisory board and can’t wait to join Alive!

Reyah Doshi

Reyah is a senior at Naperville North, where she enjoys participating in the cross country and track teams and leading the school newspaper. She is also passionate about poetry, mindfulness, and journaling, and she hopes to share all of these passions with others at the Alive Center. In her free time, Reyah enjoys listening to music and spending time with friends as well as spending time in nature. Always looking for opportunities to grow, she is excited for another year on TAB and to learn more while also assisting in the growth of the community.

Kayla Garcia

Kayla Garcia is a Junior at Naperville North High School. She is on North’s swim team and is the vice president of North’s volunteer club, Interact. In her free time, she loves reading young adult omance novels and is often found traveling to visit her favorite authors at conventions. When she isn’t reading, she enjoys having picnics and going shopping with friends. During the summer, she volunteers with Nichols Library and the Dupage Children’s Museum. She is very excited to be a returning member of the Teen Advisory Board and will continue to work hard!

Kay Kaszuba

Kay Kaszuba is a junior at Naperville Central High School who loves involving herself in sports, clubs, and her friends. She is a varsity volleyball player at Naperville Central, on the executive board of NCHS Medical Club, a member of Naper Youth for Black Lives Matter, and an Adapted P.E. gym leader. In her free time, Kay enjoys walking her dogs, being out in the sun, and playing beach volleyball with friends. Kay is passionate about helping others and hopes to study pre-med in college. This is Kay’s first year on the Alive Teen Center Advisory Board and she is very excited to make an impact on the community with her new position.

Teagan Keane

Teagan is a sophomore at Naperville North High School. She loves being a part of her extracurriculars at school which include the dance team and Orchesis. In her free time she enjoys baking and experimenting with fun new recipes. When she is not baking she can be found reading or spending time with her family and friends. She is very passionate about health and wellness and is very excited for her first year on the student advisory board. She cannot wait to make a difference in her community!

Jordan King

Jordan is a senior at Naperville North High School. At school she is president of the Black Student Leadership Association, and is a Bridging the Gap mentor for students of minority coming into high school. Additionally, she is involved in Orchestra Council, Field Hockey, Spanish National Honors Society, and National Honors Society. Outside of school she is a Gold Award Girl Scout, a member of the Dupage County NAACP student board, the events & planning lead for the NACC student board, and apart of the Prevention Leadership Team for the student board of the Dupage County Health Department. In her free time, she loves to roller skate and watch Law & Order. This is her 4th and last year on TAB, and she is honored to be apart of a huge family of leaders who advocate for growth, change, and empowering the youth!

Victoria Kostecki

Victoria is a senior at Naperville North. This is her second year on the Teen Advisory Board, she spent much of her term last year mentoring, and leading several projects. Outside of the Alive Center, she spends a lot of her time volunteering for different events, and places like loaves and fishes, and feed my starving children. She is also a member of Orchesis at North. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, and hanging out with her friends and family. She is very excited for all this year has to offer, and can’t wait to make a difference in her community!

Anna Lankisch

Anna is a Junior at Metea Valley High School. She competes with the Metea Valley swim team and Metea Valley soccer team, plays the cello with the high school orchestra, works as an after-school nanny and volunteers at St. Thomas the Apostle church. In her free time, Anna enjoys being with friends, traveling to new places, crafting, working out, and taking her dogs on walks. Anna is passionate about inclusion and collaborating with others, and she is excited to bring her energy to the Alive Center.

Olivia is a Sophomore at Metea Valley High school. She is passionate about connecting with others and learning new things. Olivia has been a nanny for twin boys throughout the school year. She enjoys running, swim team, reading historical fiction, sewing new projects, and crafting specialty coffee drinks!

Aayush Modi

Aayush is a current freshman at Naperville North High School who is interested in the fields of STEM and business. At school, Aayush is currently involved with the Huskie robotics team where he is the current leader of the software team. Aayush is also part of Naperville North’s baseball and basketball programs. In his free time, Aayush loves to do volunteer work with the Gujarati Samaj of Chicago and also participate in STEM workshops. He is excited to be a part of the Alive Center Teen Board as he believes in the values of diversity and inclusion, especially giving back to a community that has given him so much.

Barakah Mulla

Barakah Mulla is a Junior at Metea Valley High School. She is involved in the Islamic center of Naperville as well as many clubs and communities at school like Key club, Animal Rehab and Rescue club. When she isn’t at school she is spending time with friends and family. Her hobbies are swimming, being with friends, baking and playing games. She is very excited to be on this years TAB and is looking forward to make a inclusive community and safe environment where teens can be themselves.

Sagar Patange

Sagar is a rising senior at Metea Valley High School. His passions include music, sports, and STEM. At school, Sagar plays the violin for one of the top orchestras and plays basketball as well. In addition, Sagar is involved in a wide variety of clubs including Key Club, Tri-M, BPA, and Youth and Government. Outside of school, Sagar likes to pursue his passion in STEM and volunteering. He loves to program as he likes to experiment with artificial intelligence and is currently working on the Array of Things (AoT) urban sensor project at Argonne. He also loves to learn about physics as he frequently goes to Fermilab for “Ask a Scientist” lectures and “Saturday Morning Physics”. Currently, he is trying to expand his knowledge about quantum physics through University of Chicago’s Quantum Quickstart scholarship program. Sagar also loves to volunteer, especially at Feed My Starving Children, because he enjoys helping people in need. In addition, Sagar also helps lead a tutoring organization that is catered towards tutoring the children of front-line workers, and tutors students in math and english. On the Teen Advisory Board at Alive, he is excited to give back to the community as he wants to inspire the youth to pursue a career in STEM as well.

Emaan Qasim

Emaan Qasim will be starting her freshman year at Waubonsie Valley High School this year. Emaan is a cadette in Girl Scouts and is currently working on her Silver Award. She has a passion for technology and finds every opportunity to learn something new. Emaan enjoys swimming and playing Badminton and Basketball. Emaan has a passion for helping others and regularly participates in activities like volunteering and community service projects. She enjoys drawing, painting, sewing, and baking in her free time. She loves to hang out with her friends and go for bike riding, shopping and exploring new places to eat. This is Emaan’s first year on the Advisory Board and she is excited to collaborate with her new team.

Zayna Quraishi

Zayna is a senior at Naperville North High School. She is a managing editor and newsletter editor at the North Star, Naperville North High School’s news publication. Zayna is also Academic Peer Tutor, helping her fellow students in Algebra, English, and French. She is also the Director of Fundraising of Naperville North’s chapter of Junior State of America and treasurer of the Muslim Student Association. Zayna enjoys writing, traveling, listening to music, and volunteering for charitable causes. She is excited for her second year on the Alive Center’s Teen Advisory Board, hoping to continue to contribute her talents and interests to this wonderful teen-led initiative!

Aarna is a freshman at Metea Valley High School. Some of her academic interests are science, history, and math. Aarna likes to participate in various science completions. Her other hobbies include tennis, soccer, chess, and mythology. She enjoys working in groups and learning about medicine. Aarna hopes to one day become a neurologist. She is on the STEM committee, and is looking forward to her first year working with the Alive Center.

Robyn Sherry

Robyn is a student at Naperville North High school who loves helping out in her community. She is involved in show choir at North as well as other clubs such as feminist round table. She also loves hanging out with friends, staying active, and playing with her dogs every day. Traveling to new places and trying new things are really important to her, and in the future she hopes to pursue a career in medicine. She is super excited to join the TAB and can’t wait to get involved!

Ryder Stejskal

Throughout his life, Ryder has used what was in front of him to succeed and progress. This resourceful attitude is exactly what brought him to the Alive Center. A sophomore at Neuqua Valley High School, Ryder has lived in Naperville his whole life. Something he is very thankful for, Ryder has had the opportunity to travel to all sorts of places, meeting all sorts of people, and trying all sorts of amazing cuisine. In Naperville, Ryder runs track for his school, enjoys bike rides, photography, music, and helping out where help is needed.
